Letter to SCKWR.
Dear SCKWR,
I am writing to suggest a couple of ways to improve your services and help save the koala population of Peregian & Marcus Beach's. We al know the threats to koalas;
Some of these we can help of prevent without massive amounts of funding from the government, some of the deaths, however can be decreased like injury or death from humans and domestic animals. these could be stopped through increased RSPCA patrols in the streets of known koala habitats to pick up any dogs or cats who are out roaming the streets. These animals could be taken into the RSPCA and their owners would be notified and a fine would be . To help manage the deaths from injury and traffic i recomend that fencres are built around roads to stop koalas from crossing them.
Please consider my recommendations,
Alex

- loss of habitat
- increased disturbance by humans
- injury or death from traffic
- injury or death from dogs and cats
- effects of garden pesticides getting into waterways
- increased competition for food and territory because of overcrowding
- increased stress on animals, making them more susceptible to disease
